Problem:
The CEO started a foundation to bring her family together around giving traditions that would make a collective impact. Over time, the foundation became a source of conflict, administration became burdensome, and the impact was hard to articulate. Vario was asked to address these issues, positively engage multi-generational family members, and develop new leadership for the foundation.
Solution:
Vario interviewed each family member, facilitated small and large family meetings, designed a focused theory of change, and developed a strategic plan to guide their giving. We rebuilt their processes and giving forms, and coached the CEO’s daughter to effectively lead the foundation.
