Can we get the majority of orthodontists board certified? We can.

Problem:
Numbers were low; due to a lack of added value, lack of awareness of board certification among the general public, challenges associated with becoming certified, and understanding of the value certification brings to the specialty and the practitioner.

Solution:
An updated brand that highlighted the achievements of a board-certified orthodontist to the general public. Additional communication and marketing tools for doctors that allowed them to clearly communicate the value of their credentials. Communication strategies to each clearly defined audience to elevate understanding of the certification process and its importance to the specialty.

Results:
Four years after the branding and marketing work, The American Board of Orthodontics will see 50% of orthodontists achieve board certification, and will contribute important value to the specialty in a critical time.
